Stop Taking Jeremiah 29:11 Out Of Context
LinkWomen In The Church Group Project
StandardDue 25 April (Fri) as a group presentation.
Powerpoint, Keynote, Google Presentation or Prezi may be used.
Videos may be used in your presentation – either from other sources or your own, done “video blog” style.
Feel free to take creative liberties with this project by adding any video, doing the presentation as an “expert interview” complete with tweed jackets, Ray-Bans and bow-ties, or staging a feminist protest.
E-mail me with any questions.
Part 1. What are the issues?
Highlight the key verses and the issues these verses could cause in the church. Why do these issues matter?
Part 2. Official Responses
Get some quotes from reputable sources talking about these issues. What are the popular standpoints and interpretations of the issues? Try N.T. Wright, Rachel Held Evans, Mark Driscoll, and other church teachers.
Part 3. Your Response
Each person in the group will give their position and response. You can do it written, “interview-style” during your presentation, or in a video inserted in your presentation.
